Field Marketing & Community Content Associate

United Sports BrandsCosta Mesa, CA

About The Position

We are United Sports Brands, one of the largest and fastest-growing sporting goods companies in the country. We are seeking a Field Marketing Associate focused on building a dynamic, skill-based marketing career. This role will focus on the Endurance Sports Portfolio of brands, being Nathan, PEARL iZUMi, and EQYP Fitness, and will be on the front lines, ensuring we are bringing best-in-class activations to our most loyal fans, consumers, and retail partners. This role blends field marketing, content creation, and community building, but with an important evolution: You won’t just execute events—you will orchestrate a scalable field marketing ecosystem. You’ll be the face of the brands at key events, the architect behind a broader network of activations executed by partners, and a content creator capturing real athlete (runner, cyclist, fitness) stories across environments. The Field Marketing & Community Content Manager will lead the planning, execution, and scaling of the Endurance Brands event presence across a diverse event landscape. This includes personally coordinating and executing priority, high-impact events, coordinating and enabling retailers, ambassadors, and partners to execute events locally, and creating authentic, in-the-field content that amplifies every activation. The goal is to maximize brand presence without relying solely on physical presence.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in field marketing, experiential marketing, or community marketing.
  • 2–4 years of experience in content creation (social-first preferred).
  • Strong passion for running culture across road and trail.
  • Comfortable leading activations in person.
  • Comfortable managing execution remotely through others.
  • Skilled in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Skilled in basic content capture and editing tools.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic coordination.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing or coordinating distributed programs or partners is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute a national field marketing calendar across major marquee races, trail running, Ragnar, Life Time Grand Prix events, local grassroots and community runs, rides, and fitness events, and key account Brand and Product Training immersions.
  • Personally attend and lead execution for priority events where brand presence matters most.
  • Develop scalable activation playbooks that can be executed by retail partners, brand ambassadors, and local clubs across cycling, running, and fitness.
  • Ensure consistent, premium brand execution across all events—whether attended in person or managed remotely.
  • Coordinate and manage remote activations by equipping partners with tools, kits, and guidelines, communicating clear expectations and activation standards, and supporting execution from afar (pre, during, and post event).
  • Build a repeatable system for scaling presence across dozens of events simultaneously.
  • Partner closely with specialty retailers and key accounts to integrate Endurance Brands into their local event ecosystems.
  • Capture authentic, social-first content from events and community interactions, including race-day moments, athlete stories and testimonials, and product-in-use content across environments (road, trail, gravel, training, recovery).
  • Act as a field-based content creator, producing short-form video (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) and real-time and post-event storytelling.
  • Extend the impact of both events attended in person and events executed remotely (through partner-generated content and coordination).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to turn field content into ongoing brand narratives and series.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across run, bike & fitness clubs (road, gravel, trail), influencers and creators, athletes and ambassadors, and retail partners.
  • Focus on two layers of community presence: national reach (major events and influential communities) and local depth (especially within Southern California and Boulder near the Endurance Sports home bases).
  • Identify and develop authentic brand advocates within key running communities.
  • Develop and scale Brand & Product knowledge materials from a consumer-first perspective that can be executed in-person and small-scale events, and at a distance, by representatives of the brands or third parties.
  • Be the expert in Brand and Product Knowledge, bringing knowledge and enthusiasm to all events, fielding consumer questions and engaging as the representative of the Brand.
  • Track and evaluate event effectiveness (both in-person and remote), content performance and engagement, and community growth and brand visibility.
  • Manage field marketing budget and optimize allocation between travel-based activations and distributed/local activations.
  • Continuously refine the model to increase scale, efficiency, and impact.
