About The Position

Runlayer is seeking its first Field Marketing Manager to own the company's presence at all events, from major conferences to intimate dinners. This role involves managing the entire field marketing process, including selecting events, allocating budget, collaborating with sales and BDR teams to drive attendance, and overseeing post-event follow-up and pipeline generation. The position offers a unique opportunity to build the field marketing function from the ground up, working directly with the VP of Marketing and the sales team.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years in field marketing.
  • Extremely organized, with a track record juggling many events and details at once.
  • A track record partnering closely with sales, measured on pipeline rather than event logistics.
  • Ecosystem instinct: a real opinion on where AI infrastructure and security buyers actually show up.
  • Actively uses AI tools to multiply output, in the real marketing workflow, not occasionally.
  • A founding mindset: you want to build from scratch, not inherit an established playbook.

Nice To Haves

  • AI-native and infra-literate: you can talk to engineers and understand what the product actually does.
  • Experience marketing a technical or security product to engineering and security buyers.
  • Familiarity with the MCP and AI agents space.

Responsibilities

  • Own the field calendar end to end: conference selection, budget allocation, sponsorship negotiation, and deciding what to skip.
  • Run intimate events: exec dinners and CISO roundtables, from invite list to follow-up.
  • Partner with AEs and BDRs: target account lists, pre-event outreach, on-site meeting orchestration, and post-event handoffs.
  • Close the loop on pipeline: follow-up sequences, sourced and influenced attribution, and reporting field ROI to leadership.
  • Execute on-site: booth presence, event collateral, and swag, representing Runlayer to security and engineering buyers.
  • Build the field motion from scratch alongside the VP of Marketing and the sales team.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity — compensation that reflects your expertise and customer-facing responsibilities.
  • Paid time off — paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid parental leave.
  • Professional development — budget for conferences, courses, and certifications in AI, enterprise software, and customer success.
  • Top-tier equipment — your choice of laptop and accessories to create your ideal work environment.
  • Health benefits — comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Customer interaction opportunities — work directly with innovative companies and see the immediate impact of your work.
