About The Position

Kombo is seeking its first Field Marketing Manager to establish and scale a repeatable pipeline engine through conferences, events, executive dinners, and webinars. This foundational role involves end-to-end ownership of events, from strategy to execution, working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance Kombo's visibility, credibility, and trust in key markets. The position offers a significant opportunity to build an event motion from the ground up at a high-growth company, with potential for leadership growth into a Head of Marketing role. Kombo provides an infrastructure layer for hire-to-retire employee data, powering recruitment platforms, benefits providers, and spend management tools by offering reliable access to data across various HR systems. Since its Y Combinator participation in 2022, Kombo has achieved over $10M in ARR, grown to over 60 employees across NYC and Berlin, and raised over $30M in funding. The company operates globally with a diverse team representing over 20 nationalities.

Requirements

  • 1–5 years of experience in field marketing or demand generation at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Strong project manager who can run multiple initiatives in parallel with high standards.
  • High ownership, high standards, and strong judgment.
  • Commercial mindset with clear understanding of sales cycles and buyer journeys.
  • Hands-on executor who enjoys being close to the work and traveling regularly.
  • Curiosity and empathy to understand our buyer persona deeply (technical C-level execs) and design events backward from it.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven track record of driving measurable pipeline through events.
  • Experience marketing to technical or infrastructure buyers (CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Heads of Product).
  • Built a field marketing motion from scratch at an early-stage company.

Responsibilities

  • Own all events at Kombo end to end, including major industry conferences, executive dinners and roundtables, roadshows and smaller field events, and webinars.
  • Plan events with leadership and own execution end-to-end.
  • Decide where our ICP goes, and how we show up where they are (format, setup, booth design, follow-up).
  • Tie revenue goals with product updates with necessary events/conference participation.
  • Build and maintain our motion for in-person touch points selling ENT at scale.
  • Continuously improve how we plan and execute events as volume increases.
