About The Position
University Behavioral Associates (UBA) at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York is seeking a master’s degree level (MS required) or doctoral level clinician preferred to serve as a Supervisor for the Family Treatment & Rehabilitation (FTR) program. This program is funded by the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) and is a community-based, family-centered initiative. It works closely with parents, children, and providers (including ACS) to ensure strong, effective collaboration that supports families in focusing on child safety and well-being.
Requirements
- Master’s degree level (MS required)
- Demonstrated experience working with families
- Interfacing with child welfare services
- Evaluating mental health and/or substance use concerns
- Providing comprehensive assessments
- Excellent managerial skills
- Strong organizational ability
Nice To Haves
- Doctoral level clinician preferred
- Licensed or Limited Permit Psychologist preferred
- Licensed Social Worker preferred
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor preferred
- Spanish-speaking a plus
Responsibilities
- Conduct intake evaluations for new families
- Oversee referrals to mental health and substance abuse programs
- Meet with families as needed
- Conduct individual supervision and provide direct clinical training for case planners
- Review case planner documentation to ensure it is consistent with ACS requirements
- Participate in training, supervision, and consultation activities
- Provide periodic on-call 24-hour coverage
