About The Position

The Field Manager III is responsible for leading the successful execution of retail, restaurant, commercial construction, remodel, rollout, fixture installation, and technology deployment projects across the United States and Canada. This position serves as the primary field leader on assigned projects, overseeing field personnel, subcontractors, project execution, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Working in partnership with Project Managers and Operations leadership, the Field Manager III ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and in accordance with DAVACO and client standards. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires active participation in project execution while providing guidance, coaching, and support to field teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive field leadership experience in retail construction, remodels, rollouts, fixture installations, facilities maintenance, or commercial construction.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple crews and managing field operations across multiple projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, retail environments, fixture installation, and project execution processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, fixture plans, electrical layouts, floor plans, and project specifications.
  • Experience managing schedules, labor resources, project reporting, and quality control.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage client relationships and field personnel in fast-paced environments.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and mobile technology applications.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work flexible schedules, including overnight and weekend projects as required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, squat, and work in active construction environments.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate construction tools and equipment as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day field operations for assigned projects.
  • Direct and coordinate field employees, temporary labor, and subcontractors.
  • Review project plans, drawings, scopes of work, schedules, and specifications to ensure successful execution.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, delays, material shortages, and field issues.
  • Track and communicate change orders, project updates, and site conditions to project stakeholders.
  • Perform hands-on work as necessary to support project completion and maintain schedule commitments.
  • Ensure proper execution of construction, installation, merchandising, fixture, and technology deployment activities.
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop field employees.
  • Support onboarding and training of new hires on company procedures, technology applications, reporting requirements, and safety expectations.
  • Conduct field skill assessments and provide ongoing performance feedback.
  • Identify high-potential employees for future leadership development opportunities.
  • Foster a professional, customer-focused, and collaborative work environment.
  • Serve as the primary field contact for clients and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective communication with Project Managers, Operations Managers, clients, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Address and resolve project concerns, challenges, and customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure client expectations are met while maintaining project quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
  • Consistently represent DAVACO in a professional manner that strengthens client relationships.
  • Ensure all work meets project specifications, company standards, and client expectations.
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout project execution.
  • Verify completion of punch-list items and project closeout requirements.
  • Review project documentation and reporting for accuracy and completeness.
  • Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence on every project.
  • Ensure compliance with DAVACO safety policies, OSHA regulations, client requirements, and site-specific safety standards.
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and proactively address unsafe conditions.
  • Lead safety discussions and reinforce safe work practices among field teams.
  • Report incidents, injuries, and safety concerns in accordance with company procedures.
  • Serve as a role model for safe work practices and professional jobsite conduct.
