About The Position

This is an entry-level position for a Field Maintenance Technician 1. The role involves performing exemplary maintenance services on equipment to ensure owning and operating costs exceed customer standards. The technician will utilize Holt Cat’s digital tools to capture and report issues related to equipment operation and performance to maximize uptime. Additionally, the incumbent must work with Holt’s central dispatch team for logistics and communicate directly with customers to confirm job requirements, location, and timeline. This position generally requires less than one year of experience and/or demonstrated job-relevant knowledge/skills. The role relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines, working under immediate supervision. The technician will provide superior customer service in alignment with Holt CAT’s Vision, Values, and Mission statement, and is expected to model daily practices of alignment with company mission and values, collaboration with key resources, and participation in ongoing self-development.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Up to one year of experience with field or shop preventive maintenance preferred
Valid driver's license with safe driving record required
Must be able obtain a Class B CDL within 6 months of employment
Self-motivated, thoughtful individual with a high energy level who can work alone or with others in a field environment
Ability to work independently as well as a part of a diverse team and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and customers
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to interact with tact and courtesy and maintain a professional demeanor
Demonstrated proficiency with current computer software and related hardware
Some knowledge construction equipment and related equipment
Ability to read and understand equipment service manuals and lubrication charts
Basic knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures and practices

Responsibilities

Performs high quality preventative field maintenance work and electronic inspections on equipment
Effectively maintains and communicates a field service schedule to deliver an exceptional customer experience

Adaptable and understanding of changes to schedules and timelines
Accurately obtains, packages, and submits required compartment fluid samples daily
Maintains appearance and operation of service truck to ensure productivity and professional representation to Holt customers
Work Order Efficiency- 5% or higher for reviewed time period
Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Performs other duties as assigned
