About The Position

This role provides onsite and remote IT support across multiple senior living and healthcare facilities in Eastern Ohio and Northern West Virginia. The technician acts as a floating field support professional ensuring reliable technology operations for staff and residents while working closely with the NerdsToGo service desk and engineering team. The position is ideal for a hands on technician who enjoys solving problems in person, building strong relationships with facility staff, and supporting environments where technology directly impacts care, operations, and resident services. Primary Service Territory East Liverpool, OH Calcutta, OH North Lima, OH Hubbard, OH Carrollton, OH Alliance, OH Chester, WV Twinsburg, OH Primary travel is centered around Columbiana County, Ohio, with occasional travel to nearby facilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of IT support or help desk experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, printers, and network connectivity
  • Professional, calm, and customer focused demeanor
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple sites
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Reliable personal transportation required
  • Daily travel between regional facilities
  • Typical travel radius of up to 75 miles

Nice To Haves

  • Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience
  • Experience supporting healthcare or senior living environments
  • Exposure to HIPAA regulated environments
  • Familiarity with access control systems, cameras, or facility technology
  • Experience supporting shared or clinical workstation environments

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite IT support across multiple senior living and healthcare facilities
  • Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, medication carts, and peripherals
  • Support shared workstations, nurse stations, and clinical technology environments
  • Serve as the primary on-site responder for IT issues and user support
  • Build strong working relationships with facility administrators, nurses, and operational staff
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding including device provisioning and access setup
  • Perform basic network, WiFi, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking for facility technology including workstations, carts, printers, and network devices
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks to minimize downtime and recurring issues
  • Document all work clearly in the ticketing system
  • Escalate complex issues to the NerdsToGo service desk or engineering team as needed
