About The Position

Advantage Investigations is seeking a full-time Private Investigator in the Los Angeles, California area and surrounding communities. The investigator will conduct covert surveillance and investigate daily activities, obtain video evidence, prepare clear written reports for the operations team, and perform basic claims investigations. The role includes daily travel within the investigator’s territory and may involve travel throughout the home state and surrounding states. The company provides a comprehensive training program and equipment.

Requirements

Private Investigator licenses are required; licensing requirements vary by state.
Meet state-mandated requirements to obtain and maintain a Private Investigator license in multiple states.
Have access to a reliable, suitable surveillance vehicle for day-to-day use.
Hold a valid driver’s license and provide a motor vehicle record (MVR).
Be willing to travel throughout the home state and surrounding states for work.
Be available for a varying weekly schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Have good oral and written communication skills.
Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
Pass a drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Current California Private Investigator license preferred.
Previous experience related to surveillance or claims investigations preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct covert, stationary, and mobile surveillance.
Conduct surveillance throughout the home state and surrounding states.
Record subject activity using a video recording device.
Conduct alive-and-well checks, locates, basic scene investigations, paint sample analysis, EDR, and RCS deployments and retrievals.
Prepare and complete written reports of observations.
Upload video evidence and surveillance reports.
