About The Position

The Field Installer I supports the installation, dismantling, loading, unloading, and safe handling of Clearspan structures and related components at customer sites and branch locations. This role assists with site preparation, layout, structure assembly, fabric installation, anchoring, and equipment handling while following manufacturer specifications, safety requirements, and supervisor direction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Entry-level Clearspan or temporary structure installation experience acceptable; on-the-job training may be provided.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; basic hand tool use; ability to follow instructions, implement feedback, and work safely in a field environment.
  • Ability to identify or learn Clearspan structure components, assembly sequences, fabric installation, tensioning, securing, anchoring methods, and material handling requirements.
  • Ability to complete required work orders, service orders, checklists, and field documentation using company-approved systems or applications.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, contractors, sales teams, branch personnel, shop teams, and co-workers.
  • Ability to comply with jobsite safety requirements, PPE standards, hazard awareness practices, lift/equipment safety procedures, fall protection requirements, and applicable OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain rigging, fall protection, lift operation, and other required safety certifications.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card if required for customer sites, port access, or project-specific assignments.
  • Must comply with all company drug-free workplace policies and customer site requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction, equipment rental, field service, installation, or related trade experience preferred.
  • Experience working independently in a fast-paced field environment and coordinating with customers, contractors, shop personnel, sales teams, and co-workers is preferred.
  • Construction or temporary structure installation experience; familiarity with OSHA, DOT, forklift, manlift, or boom lift requirements.
  • Ability to obtain forklift, manlift, boom lift, OSHA, or other required safety certifications within the timeframe established by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Install, dismantle, and assist with Clearspan structures, including frame components, fabric systems, anchoring, tensioning hardware, and related accessories, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and supervisor direction.
  • Identify, organize, stage, load, secure, unload, and maintain structure materials and components, including beams, rafters, purlins, uprights, stakes, anchors, tensioning hardware, and keder systems, to support accurate inventory counts and prevent damage during transit.
  • Assist with site layout and preparation using measuring tools, basic construction methods, and supervisor guidance to support safe, efficient installation and removal of Clearspan structures.
  • Install, dismantle, and support deployment of Clearspan structures, accessories, and approved Value-Added Products (VAPS) in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
  • Operate or learn to operate approved hand tools and powered equipment, such as drills, ratchets, wrenches, impact drivers, forklifts, manlifts, boom lifts, and stake drivers, only as trained, certified, and authorized.
  • Follow established safety procedures, jobsite requirements, transportation guidelines, and feedback from supervisors, warehouse, logistics, sales, and field operations teams to complete work accurately, safely, and on schedule while supporting on-time, in-full delivery and return expectations.
  • Complete required work orders, service orders, checklists, site documentation, and related field updates through company-approved systems or applications to support accurate job reporting and customer service follow-up.
  • Maintain the proper working condition, cleanliness, organization, and security of assigned tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials used to perform Clearspan setup, service, and removal activities.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams, contractors, customers, and branch personnel while representing WillScot professionally at jobsites and customer locations.
