About The Position

The Bosch Building Technologies Integrator Business offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects. Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch’s role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Climatec is recognized in the building industry as an independent single-source integrator of critical building systems including energy services, building automation and security & life safety in the U.S. market. The company provides consulting, planning, implementation and 24/7 remote management. Climatec is active in several market segments and industries including data centers, commercial real estate buildings, and federal, state, and local government. Climatec has operated as an independent entity, maintaining its offices in Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, New York, and New Jersey. Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and hands‑on experience
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication
  • An understanding of basic computer operation
  • Ability to work with electrical equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, etc
  • An understanding of low and high voltage AC circuitry, including transformers, fuses, breakers, wire types, etc

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of low voltage installation in security and/or fire alarm systems
  • Technical degree and/or military experience
  • The ability to troubleshoot basic electric circuitry including reading and interpreting electrical, control, and special system diagrams.
  • An understanding of the construction industry including safety, electrical codes, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret Bosch Building Technologies PSG and/or third-party drawings to successfully install access control, intrusion, video, audio visual, structured cabling and fire alarm systems
  • Install conduit and wire for special systems
  • Terminate low voltage devices and terminate headend for special systems
  • Provide support to installation team members while ensuring OSHA and BICSI standards are met
  • Coordination and support for other contractors on project site
  • Assist with troubleshooting efforts during commissioning, pre-testing and final inspection
  • Provide input to others as requested/required to assist in the accurate estimation, design, and installation for special systems
  • Provide documentation including daily logs, on-site inventory checklists, etc. as required for assigned projects
  • Assist in the preparation of As-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
  • Provide up-to-date As-built information as required including locations for devices, panels, cable pathways, etc
  • Other duties as assigned.
