Field Inspector III (Remote w/ Travel)
About The Position
The Field Inspector III (Level 3) performs inspections for multi-channel products, using the iInspector application to collect information and capture quality images for various equipment and inspection types. The role requires proficient equipment-operator experience, a comprehensive understanding of common and specialized equipment, and professional communication with sales staff and external customers to support effective inspection processing. Inspectors work daily with Inspection Liaisons and regional inspectors to prioritize work in a team environment. This is a remote-based position with travel to job sites as needed. Employees primarily work within their home area, with occasional travel to nearby locations. Most travel is by car, and overnight stays are required for multi-day projects or assignments farther from home. Candidates ideally reside within 30 miles of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a related equipment industry environment.
- Proficient equipment-operator experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of common and specialized equipment types.
- Ability to professionally communicate with sales staff and external customers.
- Ability to work in a field office and outdoor work environment.

Responsibilities
- Use the iInspector application to complete inspections for various equipment and inspection product types.
- Coordinate and/or perform tasks to prepare equipment for inspection.
- Create strategic routes to improve efficiency for remote inspections.
- Select the appropriate inspection checklist for unique equipment types to support content accuracy.
- Assess equipment condition and provide thorough descriptive information.
- Upgrade or downgrade inspection types to align with equipment condition when warranted.
- Communicate and resolve equipment identification and readiness issues.
- Navigate and resolve technical concerns related to the iInspector app and inspection content processing.
- Organize daily tasks to support effective sale processing for multichannel products.
- Act as a lead onsite coordinator for large remote sales and mentor junior-level inspectors.
- Support auction-day activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
