Field Inspector III (Remote)
About The Position
The Field Inspector (Level 3) performs inspections for multi-channel products. The role uses the iInspector application to collect information and capture quality images for various equipment and inspection types. It requires proficient equipment-operator experience, a comprehensive understanding of common and specialized equipment, and professional communication with sales staff and external customers to support effective inspection processing. Inspectors interact daily with Inspection Liaisons and regional inspectors to prioritize workflow in a team environment. This is a remote position that allows the employee to work from home. Candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace. The role also involves field office and outdoor work. The inspector may act as a lead onsite coordinator for large remote sales, mentor junior-level inspectors, and support auction-day activities as needed.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a related equipment industry environment.
- Proficient equipment-operator experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of common and specialized equipment types.
- Ability to professionally communicate with sales staff and external customers.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace for remote work.
Responsibilities
- Use the inspector application to complete inspections for various equipment and inspection product types.
- Coordinate and/or perform tasks to prepare equipment for inspection.
- Create strategic routes that improve efficiency for remote inspections.
- Navigate unique equipment types and select the appropriate inspection checklist to support content accuracy.
- Assess equipment condition and provide thorough information describing it.
- Upgrade or downgrade inspection types to align with equipment condition when warranted.
- Communicate about and resolve equipment identification and readiness issues.
- Navigate and resolve technical concerns related to the iInspector app and inspection content processing.
- Organize daily tasks to support effective sale processing for multichannel products.
- Act as a lead onsite coordinator for large remote sales.
- Mentor junior-level inspectors.
- Support auction-day activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
