About The Position

SDMyers is hiring Field Inspection Technicians to join their growing field team in Madison, WI. In this role, you will inspect energized transformers and collect oil samples that are shipped to their lab in Northeast Ohio. This role is essential to keeping the power grid running smoothly, and the company provides a paid, 8-week training program for all new technicians. Requirements

• Mechanical or electrical experience preferred
• Ability to travel weekly (Monday–Friday), home on weekends
• Commitment to safety and a strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screen
• Independence, integrity, and initiative
• Must be able to pass Hair Follicle drug test and BG check

Responsibilities

• Inspect energized transformers
• Collect oil samples for lab analysis
• Represent SDMyers to customers in a solo field role
• Work outdoors in various environments and weather conditions
• Work around live electrical equipment in industrial settings
• Extensive driving in a company vehicle
• Occasional air travel
