This Field HR Generalist role serves as a trusted HR partner supporting multiple business units and leaders across ADG's nationwide organization. While the primary work schedule will align with the Eastern and Central Time Zones, the role involves collaboration with leaders, associates, and HR partners across the country to deliver an exceptional employee experience and help drive business success. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full associate lifecycle - from talent acquisition and onboarding to employee relations, engagement, payroll, benefits, compliance, and performance support - while partnering with experienced HR Business Partners on both day-to-day operations and enterprise-wide initiatives. This role is designed for individuals looking to broaden their HR expertise, build meaningful business partnerships, and make a measurable impact within a growing organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible Human Resources experience.
  • Three to five years of progressive Human Resources experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or in a comparable HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR best practices, and associate relations.
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS); Paylocity experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and other business applications.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically to support business operations and strengthen partnerships with leaders and associates.
  • Candidates must reside within the Eastern or Central Time Zone.
  • Primary working hours should align with Eastern and Central Time Zone business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR resource supporting leaders and associates across multiple business locations.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR guidance and support.
  • Build trusted relationships with leaders across multiple business units.
  • Coach managers on policies, procedures, employee concerns, and HR best practices.
  • Help leaders make informed people decisions that support both associates and the business.
  • Lead new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Ensure a welcoming and engaging onboarding experience.
  • Conduct exit interviews and identify trends.
  • Promote associate engagement and positive workplace culture.
  • Help create an environment where associates feel valued, supported, and connected.
  • Partner with hiring managers throughout the recruiting process.
  • Screen candidates and coordinate interviews.
  • Prepare and extend employment offers.
  • Assist with job descriptions and recruiting strategies.
  • Help identify exceptional talent to support our growing business.
  • Support payroll and timekeeping activities.
  • Coordinate Leave of Absence administration.
  • Maintain I-9 compliance and employment documentation.
  • Monitor required training completion.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive associate information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes.
  • Help create consistency across multiple business locations.
  • Contribute ideas that improve the associate and leader experience.
  • Support initiatives that strengthen the overall effectiveness of Human Resources.
