About The Position
Portsmouth Public Schools is seeking a Field Hockey Coach. This position requires extensive knowledge of the rules and skills of field hockey, a program-centered approach, and the ability to exhibit good sportsmanship. The coach must also be knowledgeable of VHSL rules and work well with children. Previous college, club, or professional level playing experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of the rules and skills in the sport.
- Must be program centered.
- Must have specific skills and exhibit good sportsmanship.
- Must have knowledge of VHSL rules.
- Works well with children.
- Submit a standard on-line application.
- Submit two letters of reference.
- Submit a recent TB test or screening.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one year of coaching experience as an Assistant or Head Coach.
- Previously competed at the college level, club team or professional level.
