Entry Level - Field Geotechnical Engineer
About The Position
Kleinfelder's Oklahoma City, OK office is seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. This role involves performing routine to complex geotechnical sampling, inspection, and testing in the field, adhering to project plans and specifications. The field engineer will be responsible for preparing daily reports and data sheets, and may undertake additional tasks as directed by their supervisor. Key duties include geotechnical and laboratory testing, nuclear moisture density testing, and assisting with proposal writing and technical reports. Success in this role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and strong communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology
- EIT or GIT or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 0 to 3 years' experience in the provision of geotechnical-related engineering field

- Geotechnical laboratory testing experience is a plus.

- Ability to read and review test procedures, standards, plans, and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform soil and groundwater sampling, soil samples, logging, observations and testing on materials testing projects to verify conformance to the construction plans and specifications.
- Submit daily field reports and data reports summarizing daily activities.
- Conduct engineering calculations under the supervision of a professional engineer.
- Maintain objectives, initiatives, and overall goals set forth by the project manager.
