About The Position

Sila Boston is seeking an experienced HVAC professional to step into a field leadership role as a Field Foreman. This is a hands-on position for an individual who excels in the trade, enjoys mentoring other technicians, and can effectively manage multiple job sites. The Field Foreman will act as a primary technical resource for HVAC technicians, assisting with complex troubleshooting, providing guidance, coordinating jobs and manpower, and ensuring high-quality customer service.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on residential HVAC experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with boilers and hydronic heating systems is required.
  • Ability to confidently guide and support other HVAC technicians.
  • Strong understanding of residential HVAC installation and service.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple technicians, jobs, and priorities throughout the day.
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable making decisions in the field.
  • A natural coach who enjoys helping technicians develop.
  • Willingness to jump in and help when the team needs it.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Previous lead, foreman, or field leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical resource and field leader for HVAC technicians.
  • Help technicians diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues.
  • Provide hands-on field support when needed.
  • Support residential HVAC systems, with a focus on boilers and hydronic heating.
  • Coordinate daily jobs, technician priorities, manpower, and materials.
  • Monitor job progress for safety, efficiency, and adherence to schedule.
  • Assist technicians in overcoming challenges that may impact job completion.
  • Coach and develop technicians to enhance their technical skills and confidence.
  • Communicate with customers about ongoing work, recommendations, and future steps.
  • Collaborate with dispatch, service leadership, and other departments to ensure smooth field operations.
  • Proactively identify potential problems and develop solutions.
  • Uphold high standards for workmanship, safety, and customer service.
  • Lead by example to foster a positive and accountable team environment.
