  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Mechanical Foreman
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must have a valid driver's license, and pass a drug screen and background checks.
  • Demonstrate ability to tactfully handle difficult situations.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to recognize and deal with priorities.
  • Independently perform duties with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Recognize and perform duties that need to be performed, although not directly assigned, assisting others as needed.
  • Consistent communication with the Superintendent/Project Manager/Operations Manager.
  • Seek guidance and direction, as necessary, for the performance of duties.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in investigations and problem-solving.
  • Respect the confidentiality of JAF, customers, and personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate & communicate with the Field Operations Manager and Estimator on project status, problems, or deviations from schedule or contract.
  • Possess working knowledge of all project plans and specifications.
  • Order/requisition materials and supplies.
  • Coordinate work activities with other project activities and subcontractors.
  • Supervise employees, discipline as necessary, and evaluate performance.
  • Generate accurate Daily Worksheets, time cards, and daily inspection logs for equipment.
  • Represent JAF at project coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate changes to manpower, customer requests, and employee/site issues with the Field Operations Manager/Project Manager.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and safety on all job sites.
  • Responsible for adhering to all JAF company policies and procedures as well as the customer's.
  • Schedule all tool and equipment needs with the Equipment Manager and Toolroom Supervisor.
  • Responsible for maintenance of all work vehicles & equipment in the crew.
  • Assist employees engaged in construction activities using tools or equipment.
  • Train employees in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Schedule manpower.
  • Make quality control decisions.
  • Discipline/Terminate employees (involve HR).
  • Remove employee from job site if suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs (MUST notify HR immediately).
  • Stop work if found to be unsafe or not in compliance.
