About The Position
Student placements are coordinated with the University and School District to be placed in a classroom setting to observe and experience teaching. These placements are for students in the School of Education who are working towards a Colorado Teacher License. Students are placed in certification appropriate levels/grades, including Early Childhood, Elementary, Secondary, and K-12th certification. Secondary education placements are content specific, and Special Education placements are within the spectrum needs for special education.
Requirements
- Be a student in the School of Education working towards a Colorado Teacher License
- Submit fingerprints to the School of Education for a background check through the CBI and FBI
- Have fingerprints on file with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation
- Complete admission requirements
- Apply online to become a Student Teacher with Aurora Public Schools
- Complete the Teacher Insight Assessment
- Complete a district background check
