About The Position

This role is responsible for servicing, repairing, and operating all types of vehicles and farm equipment. The Field Equipment Operator I will perform oil and lube services, brake repairs and replacements, and minor electrical repairs on various vehicles including pickups and cars. Additionally, they will service and perform minor to moderate repairs, including some electrical work, on farm equipment such as tractors and forklifts. The operator will also be responsible for operating wheel tractors with attachments like disks, mowers, and sprayers, as well as specialty equipment such as toppers, hedgers, forklifts, and brush shredders. A key part of the role involves marking and reporting any unusual field or tree conditions, and strictly adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing assigned safety gear and seeking clarification when necessary.

Requirements

3 - 5 years' experience in operation and maintenance of farm equipment.
Be able to lift 50 lbs. on a continuous basis and 100 lbs. on occasion.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work independently while meeting standards set by the Supervisor.
18 Years of age or older

Responsibilities

Service all types of Vehicles, Pickups, Cars, etc.
Perform Oil & Lube Service.
Perform Brake Repair & Replacement.
Perform Minor Electrical Repair.
Service all types of Farm Equipment: IE. Tractors, Forklifts.
Perform Oil & Lube service on farm equipment.
Perform minor to moderate repairs on farm equipment.
Perform some electrical repair on farm equipment.
Operate Wheel tractors with various attachments such as disks, mowers and sprayers.
Operate Specialty equipment - Topper, Hedger, Forklift, Brush shredder.
Marks and reports any unusual field or tree conditions.
Maintain safety regulations at all times.
Performs all tasks in a safe manner. Required to wear all safety gear assigned and ask for instructions when unfamiliar or lacking knowledge of proper safety procedures.
