The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking individuals to collect crop and livestock information from farm and ranch operators and agricultural industry representatives. Data is gathered through both phone and in-person interviews. This collected information is crucial for estimating agricultural data, which is then utilized by producers, buyers, and state and federal governments. The role is part-time and intermittent, offering flexible days and hours. All necessary training is provided, and no prior experience is required, although an agriculture background is beneficial. Applicants must possess basic computer skills, as work is conducted on a provided iPad. Being multilingual is considered a plus but not a mandatory requirement. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance. NASDA is specifically looking to hire someone from Bear Lake, Caribou, Oneida, Bannock, or Franklin Counties in Idaho. It's important to note that most surveys are voluntary for the operator, and this role does not involve sales. Rejection is a common aspect of this job. Individuals with full-time or rigid part-time jobs or commitments may find it challenging to allocate sufficient time for this work, as it cannot be solely performed during evenings or weekends. We are seeking individuals who can be available when needed. Enumerators are expected to have strong interpersonal skills, be friendly, pleasant, and maintain a positive attitude, even when facing rejection.
