This leadership role within the Distribution Engineering Team directs, coordinates, and supervises the daily activities of field engineering designers. Responsibilities include assigning work, prioritizing tasks, addressing customer requests (new service/reliability), and creating detailed construction designs for large distribution construction projects, State highway relocation work, third-party make-ready, and other special projects. The Supervisor reviews and approves work for internal/external customer requests, maintenance, annual, and project work. This role is accountable for direct supervision, coaching, mentoring, safety leadership, and technical guidance to assigned staff to achieve high-quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions. The Supervisor is responsible for the design decisions of their team, including peer checking work, and will participate in project/budget review committees and meetings as required. Strong communication skills and a focus on customer satisfaction are essential. The role also involves leading and participating in cross-functional teams for tri-state initiatives and technical process improvements. The position is based in Norwalk, CT.
