The Gas Construction Measurement and Controls group is responsible for the safe and timely completion of construction projects on gas Transmission and Distribution assets, ensuring they are built and documented to PG&E standards and regulatory requirements. This group also collaborates with contractors to execute construction projects across the PG&E system. This position, represented by Engineers and Scientists of California (ESC), involves pre and post-job reviews, pre-checking work before construction, creating estimates, and reviewing As-Built packages for accuracy. It may also include attending pre-construction meetings, supporting crews during construction (coordinating shutdowns, verifying materials, ensuring NEC compliance), and closing out estimates. Assistance to the Scheduling group is also required. This role is a DOT-covered classification subject to drug and alcohol screening. Travel is estimated at 50% with occasional overnight stays.
