About The Position

Luster is accepting applications for future Field Engineer roles at varying skill levels supporting large, complex heavy-civil infrastructure programs. Project types may include highways, roads, bridges, bus and rail transit, international airports, and water/wastewater, delivered through traditional and alternative methods. These roles focus on verifying work in the field against approved documents, maintaining contemporaneous records of quantities, testing, conditions, and issues, and providing a factual basis for project decisions. The role may include monitoring and documenting construction activities; maintaining field records; verifying quantities and reviewing payment applications; reviewing submittals and coordinating requests for information; witnessing acceptance testing; inspecting structures work; comparing schedules with observed progress; documenting changes, claims, and differing site conditions; supporting oversight in active corridors and facilities; and assisting with project close-out. The expected salary range is $85,000–$150,000 per year ($41–$72 per hour). Luster states that actual compensation may vary based on the candidate’s experience, skills, education, credentials, geographic location, and other circumstances. The position offers a range of benefits, including flexible time off, paid holidays, parental leave, insurance coverage, retirement contributions, and professional development support. Specific plan details are provided upon offer.
