About The Position

This position will be based in Augusta, GA. The Field Engineer carries out research to find out the problems and develops solutions for the same. They look after the maintenance of the equipment and infrastructure available at the site and help in the installation process of new and advanced technologies by interpreting the requirements specified by the research team and understanding employee requirements. They test machines that are already installed for their performance and safety and maintain reports to hand them to the senior and concerned employees of the company. This role may have to undertake many other responsibilities as they come. The ideal candidate will be skilled at managing any kind of technical work at the field even with little supervision, possess the ability to work in adverse settings and climatic conditions, and have a sound ability to diagnose problems with existing equipment and fix them. The ability to interpret technical issues through non-technical descriptions and communicate fluently with customers, along with good customer service skills and strong logical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, are also essential.

Requirements

Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site foremen, supervisors and fellow employees
Must be able to work eight (8) to ten (10) hours per day, performing work outdoors in all types of weather, including extreme heat
Job requires standing, kneeling, lifting up to sixty (60) pounds, pulling, squatting and walking
Maintain constant awareness of the jobsite’s various concurrent activities, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment
Willingness and ability to perform manual work
