Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in the Building Automation or HVAC Controls industry.
  • Hold a valid, current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
  • Lift items up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as squat and climb for extended periods.
  • Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or Technical Certificate in HVAC, Controls, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of BAS integration and TCP/IP networking (including wireless).
  • Experience in building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering turnkey solutions while independently working with increasing scope complexity and managing resources to meet all milestones.
  • Proactively identifies and resolves system issues using a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical plans.
  • Proficient in loading and configuring building automation software, including trends, alarms, system reports, and end-user training.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Clearly translates technical project details for customers and maintains disciplined documentation and safety standards.
  • Anticipates customer needs and provides feedback on field tools and processes to drive operational efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and optimize advanced DDC systems, ensuring controls, sensors, and networks meet performance standards.
  • Use technical judgment to solve automation challenges and mitigate project risks before they impact timelines.
  • Train owners on system operation and partner with Project Managers to manage risks and improve execution.
  • Travel as needed and adapt to changing schedules while taking end-to-end ownership of complex projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in project reviews to drive continuous improvement.
