About The Position

General Matter is hiring a new-graduate Construction Field Engineer to work on its flagship uranium enrichment facility in Paducah, Kentucky. The facility is being built on the site of the former Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant. The engineer will connect design and field execution by translating drawings and specifications into installed work, identifying issues early, and maintaining records that document how the plant was built. The role is on the owner's team, with early responsibility for assigned scopes and close collaboration with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and the quality team. The engineer will support construction from early site work through system turnover and may grow into ownership of a defined scope. The position requires working on an active outdoor construction site in all weather conditions, with extended hours and weekends as necessary. The role is based in Paducah. The company describes its work as fast-paced and high-impact, and its culture as one of urgency, accountability, and transparency.
