About The Position

Support the Managers of Engineering in overseeing the daily operations of the assigned craft, encompassing infrastructure construction, maintenance, and inspection. Manage a blend of office and field duties, regardless of weather conditions, to sustain a round-the-clock operation, supporting the assigned territory. This position will supervise the Los Angeles Maintenance facilities track gang, carpenters, and contractors. This position will be responsible for working in accordance with FRA standards and overseeing and remediating track defects and conditions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
3 years of relevant work experience
Considerable supervisory experience
Roadway Worker Protection Qualification or equivalent qualification from another transit agency
Experience with track construction, maintenance and inspection
Must have experience working with and responding to FRA, PUC, and BMWE

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
5 years of relevant work experience
3 years of supervisory experience
MW1000 certification
Experience with Maximo’s Asset Management Database

Responsibilities

Plan and execute construction and maintenance activities across infrastructure assets.
Coordinate major track outages in collaboration with various departments to maintain established work schedules.
Monitor procurement and ensure timely delivery, storage, and installation of materials and services.
Provide technical support in the field, including emergency response and weekend/night work.
Ensure compliance with FRA, local, and national construction and maintenance Amtrak codes/standards.
