About The Position

BizTech Fusion is seeking a Field Engineer with Wi-Fi Survey and Starlink Certification for a long-term contract role involving nationwide travel across the USA. The base location is Washington DC. This role requires extensive travel (80-100%) and involves conducting wireless site surveys, installing and supporting Starlink systems, performing field deployments, and documenting findings. The ideal candidate will have 2-5+ years of experience in field engineering, network, or telecom, with expertise in Wi-Fi site surveys and a strong understanding of wireless networking. Starlink certification or proven hands-on experience with Starlink is mandatory.

Requirements

  • 2–5+ years of field engineering / network / telecom experience
  • Experience with Wi-Fi site surveys (Ekahau, NetSpot, AirMagnet, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of wireless networking, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP
  • Proven experience in hardware installation and troubleshooting
  • Starlink Certification (Required) OR Proven hands-on experience with Starlink installation and deployment
  • Wireless Networking (Wi-Fi design & optimization)
  • Network Survey Tools (Ekahau, NetSpot, AirMagnet)
  • Routers, Switches, Access Points
  • Satellite Internet Systems (Starlink preferred)
  • Network diagnostics and troubleshooting tools
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Ability to work independently in field environments
  • Problem-solving and adaptability
  • Time management and multitasking
  • Willingness to travel 80–100% nationwide
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work flexible schedules based on project needs

Nice To Haves

  • CCNA, Network+, CWNA certifications
  • Experience with multi-site deployments
  • Background in hospitality, retail, or enterprise Wi-Fi projects

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site wireless (Wi-Fi) surveys for guest network deployments
  • Analyze signal strength, interference, and coverage using survey tools
  • Recommend optimal placement of access points and network equipment
  • Install, configure, and test Starlink systems
  • Perform installations in compliance with Starlink certification standards
  • Ensure proper alignment, connectivity, and performance optimization
  • Troubleshoot Starlink hardware, connectivity, and service issues
  • Travel to client sites across the U.S. for installations and surveys
  • Perform on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades
  • Coordinate with project teams, remote engineers, and clients
  • Document survey findings, configurations, and installation reports
  • Provide recommendations for network improvements
  • Maintain accurate service logs and compliance documentation
