Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field of study required
  • 5 years of Heavy Civil/Rail construction experience in a related Engineer role required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Primavera P6 required

Nice To Haves

  • Design-build construction project experience is preferred
  • Heavy Civils & Rail construction project experience preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foreman and crews to ensure that work plans are tracked and analyzed to maximize efficiency and safety
  • Assist in developing and updating the project schedule.
  • Ensure quality objectives are being met for the project
  • May supervise the work of other project resources and provide mentoring and coaching
  • Prepare field material take-offs
  • Initiate and prepare requisitions for the procurement of services, materials, and equipment necessary to support the project schedule
  • Schedule and coordinate the release of construction design documents in support of the construction schedule
  • Assist in cost tracking and help maintain budget controls
  • Track quantities, materials, and equipment usage on-site
  • Additional responsibilities requested by Project Management team
  • Conduct safety audits, perform job hazard analyses (JHAs), manage site-specific safety plans and support our Safety/Zero Harm culture
