The Field Engineer II role is designed to support the project team in various aspects of construction management, focusing on scheduling, site oversight, documentation, quality control, and safety. This position involves assisting in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring proactive planning through look-ahead schedules, and contributing to schedule update meetings. The role requires navigating procurement processes, providing daily field oversight for safety and efficiency, and maintaining meticulous site documentation using systems like Procore. Quality expectations must be upheld, with the authority to stop work that deviates from the Quality Management Plan. A strong emphasis is placed on promoting and maintaining an injury-free job site through established safety initiatives and programs. The Field Engineer II will also assist in developing and submitting RFIs, utilizing Bluebeam for documentation, and reviewing submittals for compliance. Interpreting plans and specifications, conducting safety reports and inspections, and managing punch lists are key responsibilities. The role involves facilitating inspections with authorities, assisting in determining manpower and material needs, and coordinating work groups. Collaboration with subcontractors and suppliers is essential for maintaining the construction schedule. The Field Engineer II will also support preconstruction activities, assist in updating Project Management Plans (PMPs), and thoroughly understand owner contracts, subcontracts, and project documents. Maintaining positive relationships with contractors and suppliers, implementing the site safety program, and supporting company safety initiatives are crucial. The role demands building client and internal customer confidence through exceptional service, ethical conduct, and risk minimization.
