This role is responsible for the preventative maintenance and repairs of STEP equipment, ensuring the repair and calibration of sensors, pneumatic devices, electrical and electronic systems. The position involves following and writing calibration programs, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), procedures, and working with electronic systems. The Field Electronics/Instrumentation & Controls Technician will also assist in training, coaching, and mentoring other technicians. Key duties include inspecting, analyzing, and diagnosing digital communications and electronic signals, testing and repairing solid-state circuitry in digital and analog equipment, and working with various electronic sensors such as Magnetic, Coriolis, and Turbine flow meters, Ultra Sonic Temperature transmitters, and other process and mechanical measuring sensors. The role also includes installing enhancements and major upgrades to field and shop equipment, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures, loading software, settings, and calibrations on PLC equipment, and troubleshooting PLC-related issues. Maintaining equipment to company standards and training crew members on maintenance duties are also essential responsibilities.
