Field Deployment Specialist

Flock
$60,000 - $85,000Onsite

About The Position

Flock Safety is seeking a Field Deployment Specialist to support the nationwide deployment of our Drone as a First Responder (DFR) program. This is a highly travel-intensive, field-based role focused on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting DFR systems across the U.S. You will work closely with internal teams and public safety customers to ensure successful, consistent deployments at scale. This is not a drone pilot role. This position is focused on infrastructure deployment, installation, and system support rather than operating drones. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable operating independently in dynamic field environments.

Requirements

  • Experience with drone systems, surveillance technology, or public safety environments
  • Experience in field-based work, such as construction, low-voltage installation, telecommunications, or similar technical environments
  • FAA Part 107 Certification or willingness to obtain within 45 days of hire
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively, including possession of acceptable identification for TSA air travel (e.g., REAL ID or passport)
  • Familiarity with MacOS, Windows, or Android
  • Experience in a customer-facing field service role
  • Basic understanding of networking, electrical systems, and mechanical assembly
  • Ability to work independently or in small groups while managing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working outdoors and at elevated heights (ladders, lifts, rooftops)
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment (75+ lbs)
  • Live within 60 miles of a major airport
