About The Position

Our client is running a sidewalk mapping and pedestrian infrastructure data collection project in the Mandarin neighborhood of Jacksonville, Florida. The goal of the project is to collect accurate 360° street-level imagery and sidewalk attribute data, which will later be processed and delivered as structured GeoJSON datasets linked with panoramic imagery. The collected data helps improve geospatial datasets, navigation systems, and urban infrastructure mapping.

Requirements

  • High level of responsibility and reliability
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident smartphone user
  • Personal iPhone or recent-model Android smartphone
  • Personal computer with stable high-speed internet
  • English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher (spoken)
  • Must reside in Jacksonville, Florida
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Clean criminal record (background check required)
  • Ability to walk long distances daily
  • Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods
  • Availability for full-day work, 6 days per week

Responsibilities

  • Walk assigned routes and perform pedestrian infrastructure data collection
  • Capture continuous 360° imagery using mounted camera equipment
  • Accurately enter required sidewalk attributes in the mobile application
  • Identify and mark excluded private road intersections
  • Ensure equipment is properly charged and operational each day
  • Upload collected data according to defined procedures
  • Submit two daily progress reports with data samples
  • Troubleshoot technical or operational issues and report them to the project team
  • Maintain high accuracy and consistency of collected geospatial data
