About The Position

Talon Recruiting has partnered with a leading heavy equipment company. Together we are in search of a Field Coordinator to join their team in Columbus, OH. This role is responsible for the daily planning and scheduling of work for field assignments and field service personnel, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in daily planning and scheduling of work for field assignments and personnel.
  • Ability to provide detailed quotes and discuss scope of repair with customers.
  • Skills in customer follow-up and maintaining satisfaction.
  • Experience in opening and maintaining work order files.
  • Ability to assist Shop Foreman and service mechanics.
  • Experience in communicating with management regarding repair orders.
  • Ability to maintain high morale and work ethic standards.
  • Experience in maintaining service fleet (repairs, appearance, safety, cost controls).
  • Experience in collecting daily truck inspections.
  • Experience in maintaining service truck files.
  • Ability to schedule field campaigns within given timeframes.
  • Focus on maintaining maximum labor efficiency.
  • Ability to assist in obtaining parts and supplies.
  • Skills in promoting good customer and employee relations.
  • Experience in reviewing and evaluating personnel.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, train, and develop employees.
  • Experience in managing departmental performance measures and reporting progress.
  • Knowledge of safety and incident reporting procedures, conducting investigations and training.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Daily planning and scheduling of work for field assignments and field service personnel.
  • Providing customers with detailed quotes including the scope of repair.
  • Discussing required service work with customers prior to executing repairs.
  • Following up with customers on jobs performed.
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction with service performed and with the work of personnel under direction.
  • Opening and maintaining field work order files.
  • Working with service admin on getting work orders ready to be processed and closed.
  • Providing necessary assistance to Shop Foreman and service mechanics.
  • Maintaining communications with the Service Manager regarding activities of field repair orders.
  • Maintaining high morale and work ethic standards for self and service employees under direction.
  • Maintaining service fleet, including repairs, appearance, safety, and cost controls.
  • Collecting daily truck inspections.
  • Maintaining service truck files.
  • Scheduling Field Campaigns to ensure completion within the timeframe given by the manufacturer.
  • Maintaining maximum labor efficiency.
  • Assisting in obtaining parts and supplies for service repair work in cooperation with the Parts Department.
  • Promoting good customer and employee relations.
  • Reviewing and evaluating personnel and making recommendations.
  • Ensuring effective employee relations; mentoring, coaching, training, and developing while instilling and promoting teamwork.
  • Managing departmental performance measures, including visual controls and providing regular progress reports to the manager.
  • Promoting and ensuring proper safety and incident reporting procedures are in compliance, conducting investigations, and training.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
