About The Position

Fusion Solutions is seeking a Field Construction Manager for Ericsson in the NorCal market (Dublin, CA) for AT&T. The candidate must physically reside in NorCal, with a strong preference against relocation. The role is expected to involve approximately 50% of the time spent in the field. Previous AT&T construction management experience is strongly preferred. The Field Construction Manager (FCM) is responsible for all technical aspects of telecommunications equipment deployment at assigned sites. This includes ensuring site appropriateness, recommending suppliers, identifying and validating scope items, managing equipment and material distribution, managing site access, planning and scheduling installation and construction, monitoring progress against schedules, acting as the Ericsson representative for onsite reviews and inspections, conducting audits, ensuring completion according to standards, evaluating punch lists, monitoring and managing the budget, coordinating with Customer Project Managers, and delegating administrative tasks. The FCM will also partner with the Senior Construction Manager and Remote Construction Manager on complex jobs/sites as needed.

Requirements

Minimum of 2+ years of related work/industry experience
Basic technology or related trade course work completion
Radio Access Network Technology or experience working with it
Experience with providing design solutions and guidance of order of operations
Ability to determine site feasibility, as well as site design consulting as needed
Direct knowledge of general construction processes & procedures
Experience in managing and directing general contractors, construction scope estimation, etc. (Civils, Ground, L&A, Backhaul, Maintenance Work)
Knowledge of and ability to enforce Ericsson and customer construction and quality standards
Knowledge of troubleshooting practices and techniques
Understanding of site acquisition, zoning, permitting, landlord negotiations, leasing laws, jurisdictional requirements, and environmental compliance
Ability to interface with customers, property owners, and other internal and external ancillary personnel as needed
Basic knowledge of contracts (leasing, vendor facing, customer facing) and budgets
Understanding of EHS statutory requirements impacting Ericsson in the local market
Completion of approved OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) 30-hour course for telecommunications industry

Nice To Haves

Previous AT&T construction management experience strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous experience working on Ericsson equipment portfolio is a plus
Field experience in managing general contractors, construction scope estimation, etc., is a plus

Responsibilities

Ensuring the appropriateness of the site for deployment
Recommending or selecting suppliers
Identifying and validating scope items with suppliers
Determining and managing the distribution of equipment and materials
Managing site access
Planning and scheduling the installation and construction of the job/site
Setting project schedules, forecasting, and sequencing of work
Monitoring progress and milestones against schedule, including revising and updating project schedules
Acting as the Ericsson representative for onsite field review/approval of supplier deliverables, customer visits, government/customer inspections, and safety issues
Conducting audits during build and through construction completion
Ensuring completion in accordance with Ericsson and customer standards
Evaluating all punch list items and determining if construction is complete and acceptable
Monitoring and managing budget
Coordinating with and supporting Customer Project Managers
Delegating administrative tasks to support organizations
Partnering with / supporting the Senior Construction Manager on complex jobs/sites, as needed
Partnering with the Remote Construction Manager
