About The Position

Fusion Solutions is seeking a Field Construction Manager for Ericsson (end-client: AT&T) in the Eastern PA market. This role will support wireless equipment swaps from Nokia to Ericsson for AT&T. The position requires managing Civil Works and associated financial control through scheduling, Service Provider/Assistant Service Provider (SP/ASP) management, and Quality Management. The Field Construction Manager will ensure Service Providers adhere to Ericsson standards, processes, and procedures, as well as all Federal and Local standards, while identifying continuous improvement opportunities. This role interfaces with external parties like ASP/SP and Customer PM, and internal interfaces include IM Lead, Project Admin, Project Sponsor, and CPM.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
  • Job-related experience with project builds over 200 sites.
  • Good knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to identify and solve complicated problems that require careful analysis by adapting existing procedures, techniques, and methods.
  • Ability to actively contribute to improvement and change.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and control charges to the agreed site design.
  • Ensure that only Customer-approved materials are installed on the project.
  • Ensure that the agreed Civil Works guidelines and schedules are followed and enforced.
  • Attend coordination and progress meetings.
  • Maintain awareness and provide on-site supervision during periods of high risk for customer site performance disturbances.
  • Check that the working environment is maintained at an acceptable level, carry out safety inspections, and ensure tools are in good working condition.
  • Perform Civil Works problem-solving as required during the project.
  • Coordinate site activities and ensure all disciplines involved in the project are aligned with project goals and objectives.
  • Drive schedule activities and trouble-shooting results.
  • Ensure Service Providers and vendors/suppliers meet all technical specifications with respect to E/// and customer specifications.
  • Ensure the workmanship quality of installations by Service Providers is within contract, Ericsson standards, and customer expectations.
  • Enforce all Ericsson, Federal, Local, and customer safety guidelines and construction procedures during the Civil Works phase of the project.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in workers safety and work environment safety.
  • Perform site pre-inspections and coordinate post-construction audits.
  • Perform site verification.
  • Perform visual inspection of quality on site.
  • Prepare regular interval progress reports as required by the project.
  • Provide accurate status information on progress to project management.
  • Provide technical assistance to Service Providers and other suppliers involved in Civil Works activities.
  • Reject wrong deliveries of material to site.
  • Report bad performance and quality on site.
  • Be responsible for the proper interpretation and compliance of the civil design plans.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and monitor works with Service Providers and other disciplines interfacing with the Civil Works part of the project.
  • Provide team leadership focusing on quality and results.
  • Write claims, order, and return materials.
  • Maintain and update construction-specific areas of Site Handler, including SOW and preconstruction documents, NTP receipt verification, RFDS submission review and changes, Civils acceptance documents, Civils progress PFA verification, and close-out document review and acceptance sign-off.
