Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in electric transmission line and/or substation construction
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours and travel to remote project locations as needed
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment and ongoing screening requirements, including drug testing, background checks, and motor vehicle record reviews
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Construction supervision is a plus
  • First Aid/AED/CPR Certification
  • OSHA 30 Certification

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating contractor’s duties and assignments associated with the construction of Transmission Lines or Transmission Station Facilities.
  • Reviewing the Client Company’s Plans, Drawings, and Specifications for constructability prior to the start of construction and reporting potential constructability issues.
  • Providing construction site coordination to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local Regulations, and Company standards, programs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Generating standard and ad-hoc construction progress reports as requested by the client.
  • Providing quality performance feedback on contractors, materials, and equipment.
  • Material Management duties as they relate to the transmission construction coordination, inspection, receipt, and delivery of material and equipment to the construction site.
  • Inspecting and checking materials for shortages, timeliness, damages, and correctness.
  • Preparing reports for appropriate corrective actions and coordinating delivery of materials to the job site.
  • Coordinating required outages with the responsible Operation Center and arranging for or accepting Operating Orders from the Dispatching Authority as required.
  • Maintaining construction oversight for OSHA compliance requirements in accordance with the company’s construction compliance oversight program.
  • Providing estimates as requested to allow authorization of station or line transmission construction work by contract forces, including verification of work performed.
  • Working and communicating with the entire Project Team to contribute to the successful completion of the project.
