About The Position

Field Construction Coordinator, Electric Distribution Design and Construction Oversight We are seeking a Field Construction Coordinator to provide field design constructability as well as overseeing construction contractors performing construction on the Owner's electric distribution system. This role ensures strict contract compliance, safe work practices, and adherence to design specifications. You’ll be engaged in a wide variety of projects, ranging from simple pole change outs to system wide improvements. You will oversee project schedules, coordinate all field activities, and provide regular updates on construction progress to multiple stakeholders. This position involves managing several projects simultaneously, each at different stages of activity. This is a role that requires both office and fieldwork, with responsibilities shifting based on project needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in electric distribution construction as a superintendent, foreman or journeyman lineman.
  • Knowledge of Texas electric cooperative infrastructure and Rural Utilities Service (RUS) design units a must.
  • Extensive background in the utility industry; experience in compliance management is a plus.
  • Proficiency with computers, iPads, and Microsoft Office products.

  • Valid driver’s license and current eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide field inspection of existing electric distribution infrastructure and provide constructability input to Company engineers and design technicians.
  • Provide on-site inspection and/or oversight to ensure contractors comply with contracts, safety standards, and design requirements while working on the Owner’s electric distribution system.
  • Identify, address, and resolve issues that could hinder project success, such as design challenges, material delays, or contractor performance concerns.
  • Direct the development and maintenance of project construction schedules to meet deadlines and milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts among multiple entities on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Communicate construction status, project progress, and key updates to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Balance strategic office-based planning with on-site construction management, as dictated by project requirements.
