About The Position

Technip Energies is a global technology and engineering company. T.EN Workforce Solutions (TWS) is seeking a Field Commissioning Manager on a contract basis for a 6-month assignment. The work will take place on-site in the Maryland/Delaware area. This role involves developing project-specific commissioning documents, managing commissioning software, overseeing on-site commissioning activities, and ensuring readiness for the transfer of Care, Custody, and Control (CCC). The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a critical project in the energy sector within a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commissioning and startup processes.
  • Strong understanding of construction turnover documentation and system testing.
  • Proficiency with commissioning management software.
  • Exceptional leadership and coordination skills with the ability to manage cross-disciplinary teams onsite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15 years of experience.
  • Proven Experience in commissioning and startup processes in LNG facilities.
  • Strong Knowledge of construction turnover documentation and system testing.
  • Proficiency with commissioning management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 15+ years’ experience in LNG commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project-specific commissioning documents, including marked-up P&IDs, Project Commissioning Plan, and system-specific commissioning procedures.
  • Configure and manage Commissioning Management Software (CMS) to track Inspection and Test Records (ITRs), system statuses, and documentation.
  • Evaluate construction progress, equipment/material availability, and turnover documentation on-site.
  • Identify and document risks or gaps impacting commissioning readiness.
  • Prepare and manage a punch list to address identified risks and gaps.
  • Review construction testing records, including cable insulation, pipe pressure testing, LNG piping dryness, flange torque, and pipe support set points.
  • Conduct system walkdowns to assess readiness for transfer of Care, Custody, and Control (CCC).
  • Manage pre-commissioning activities such as loop checks, instrument calibrations, motor checks, control system functionality, electrical testing, and first fills.
  • Oversee commissioning and startup activities, including functional equipment tests, system runs, pipe and tank purging, LNG introduction, system tuning, and integrated system operations.
