About The Position

CITON Claims Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of Orion180 Group Inc., is seeking a Field Claims Adjuster to perform on-site inspections and investigations to assess property damage and loss. The role involves interviewing policyholders and witnesses, documenting findings, analyzing insurance policies for coverage and liability, and preparing detailed reports with recommendations for claim settlement. The adjuster will also negotiate settlements, handle dispute resolution, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders. Collaboration with internal teams like underwriters and legal advisors is expected, along with ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. The position may require responding to catastrophe locations and markets when needed. The work environment is dynamic, on-site, fast-paced, and collaborative, with the potential for extended hours based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years in field claims adjusting.
  • Experience dealing with public adjusters.
  • Proficiency with Xactimate and other Xactware products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and repair processes.
  • Valid adjuster’s license in Georgia.
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies and claims processes.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience in dispute resolution.
  • Ability to work their regularly assigned work schedule onsite, and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company or departmental needs, project requirements, or customer demands.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and/or walk around (including the use of stairs).
  • Ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, comprehending, and reading.
  • Ability to lift light objects (<25 lbs).
  • Using standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones.
  • Occasional need to bend, twist, or squat down to open/close cabinets and reach for files or other standard office-type objects.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred but combination of experience, education, and industry certifications will be considered.
  • Certification or advanced training in claims adjusting (e.g., CPCU, AIC).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze insurance policies to determine coverage and liability.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on findings and recommendations for claim settlement.
  • Negotiate settlements with policyholders and third parties.
  • Handle dispute resolution.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with policyholders and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as underwriters and legal advisors, to resolve complex claims.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Respond to catastrophe locations and markets when needed.
