Field Canvasser - Fall 2026

Texas Campaign for the EnvironmentCorpus Christi, TX
$20 - $23Onsite

About The Position

Texas Campaign for the Environment (TCE) is seeking motivated and community-minded Door-to-Door Canvassers for a temporary assignment to engage registered voters across Corpus Christi about the Fair Water Amendment (Proposition B). Canvassers will go door-to-door in targeted neighborhoods, speak directly with registered voters, provide accurate information about Proposition B, and conduct voter surveys to understand levels of support, opposition, and voter engagement around the amendment. This is a people-focused position for individuals who enjoy connecting with their community and are comfortable having conversations with people from a wide range of backgrounds. If approved by voters this November, the Proposition B will: End exemption programs that allow large industrial water users to avoid drought surcharges and conservation requirements. Require all large industrial users to pay drought surcharges once exemption programs terminate. Set minimum drought surcharges for industry based on rates adopted by the City Council in 2025. Require large industrial users to follow all applicable drought conservation, allocation, and curtailment rules. Apply the same standards to the City's wholesale water customers, ensuring fairness across the entire system. The Fair Water Amendment would not raise water rates for residents or small businesses, and does not mandate drought surcharges for anyone other than large industrial users!
