About The Position

This role utilizes analytical skills to create a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition. National General is seeking an Auto Field Damage Appraiser to join our Claims team, supporting the Lenoir, NC territory. This is a remote, field-based role that manages auto claims both virtually and on-site. The ideal candidate will reside in Lenoir, Beasley , Kinston, Greenville, Goldsboro, or Wilson, NC and brings experience handling a variety of auto claims, conducting vehicle inspections, and utilizing CCC ONE estimating software to produce accurate damage estimates. This role works closely with repair facilities and customers to ensure timely, fair, and thorough claim resolution. Requirements

• Experience handling a variety of auto claims
• Conducting vehicle inspections
• Utilizing CCC ONE estimating software
• Strong customer service experience

Responsibilities

• Applies thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
• Builds established relationships with both internal and external customers
• Exhibits proficient estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses
• Processes a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within escalated authority limits
