About The Position

National General is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser to join their Claims team supporting the San Fernando, CA area. This is a remote, territory-based role that handles claims both virtually and in the field. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a variety of auto claims, conducting vehicle inspections, and using CCC ONE or similar estimating software to prepare accurate damage estimates while working closely with repair facilities and customers. Requirements

• Experience managing a variety of auto claims.
• Conducting vehicle inspections.
• Using CCC ONE or similar estimating software to prepare accurate damage estimates.
• Working closely with repair facilities and customers.
• Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
• Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• A dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating.
• Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition.
• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files.
• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training.
• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers.
