About The Position

National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a Field Auto Appraiser to join their Los Angeles Claims team. This is a remote, territory-based role handling claims virtually and in the field within the LAX area. The role is responsible for creating comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims, leading to proper disposition. The Field Auto Appraiser will also serve as a peer mentor, demonstrating mastery of processes and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have experience managing various auto claims, conducting vehicle inspections, and using CCC ONE estimating software to prepare accurate damage estimates while collaborating with repair facilities and customers.

Requirements

• Experience managing a variety of auto claims
• Conducting vehicle inspections
• Using CCC ONE estimating software
• Must terminate all existing insurance license appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
• Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
• Authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files
• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training
• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers
