About The Position

National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking an experienced Auto Claims Estimator to join their Idaho claims team, specifically supporting the Boise metro area and surrounding regions. This role is responsible for creating comprehensive damage estimates for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims, leading to their proper disposition. The position involves a blend of fieldwork, virtual claim handling, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience managing various auto collision claims, conducting vehicle inspections, and using estimating software like CCC ONE.

Requirements

  • Experience managing a variety of auto collision claims.
  • Experience conducting vehicle inspections.
  • Experience utilizing CCC ONE or similar estimating software to prepare accurate damage estimates.
  • Must possess authorization to work in the United States.
  • Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
  • Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
  • Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating when working from home.
  • Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

  • Reside in or near the Boise metro area, including Meridian, Middleton, Nampa, Kuna, Caldwell, Greenleaf, Notus, Huston, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Creates comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition.
  • Acts as a peer mentor, having mastered company processes and obtained technical expertise.
  • Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training.
  • Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments, and documents all activities in complex files.
  • Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
  • Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Exhibits mastery of estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
