WSP is hiring on-call Field Archaeologist Technicians for multiple surveys planned in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. This is a temporary, hourly, as-needed position. Hourly rates are competitive and depend on North American cultural resource management (CRM) experience and regional archaeological experience. Candidates local to Texas, Oklahoma, or Louisiana are ideal, though all qualified applicants will be considered. WSP also has ongoing Phase I, II, and III work in other states, with additional projects upcoming. Technicians will assist with Phase I intensive cultural resources surveys. Fieldwork includes pedestrian surveys, excavation and recording of shovel tests, and recovery and identification of archaeological artifacts and other materials. Technicians use archaeological field forms to record data, including artifact types and counts, Munsell soil color, soil textures, and other relevant information. The role requires effective teamwork, ethical and responsible conduct, and adherence to WSP policies and procedures.
