Field Applications Program (West Region)

Texas InstrumentsBellevue, WA
$90,000 - $125,000

About The Position

This role is part of the Career Accelerator Program (CAP) at Texas Instruments (TI), which offers professional and technical training to accelerate your integration into TI and set you up for long-term career success. Within CAP, there is specific function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities designed to encourage problem-solving through hands-on, meaningful experiences from day one. The FAST (Field Applications & Sales Training) Program is specifically designed to prepare Sales & Applications team members for customer-oriented careers that combine technical skills with business perspectives. The program provides experiences to help rising TIers understand how to successfully grow TI's business and thrive throughout their entire TI career. There are two available FAST program tracks: (1) Field Applications and (2) Technical Sales. The Field Applications Engineer track is a 12-month experience aimed at establishing rising Field Applications Engineers (FAEs) as technical TI experts with customer engineers and internal teams. This track includes three rotations: Rotation 1, Field Sales Office (FSO), focuses on learning how to work directly with customers to solve technical challenges and maximize TI's revenue by providing systems-level solutions. This includes analyzing technical trade-offs, understanding component selection, and solving design and cost challenges. Rotation 2, Mass Market (MM), trains FAEs on scaling actions across multiple customers within a given sector or EE. Rotators will participate in innovative projects to create new and more efficient sales processes, leveraging TI’s resources, automation, scalable selling techniques, decision making in imperfect circumstances, and direct customer interactions. Rotation 3, Business Unit/Systems Engineering & Marketing (BU/SEM), provides hands-on experiences to understand how TI components fit together for systems-level solutions. Rotators will be trained on business acumen, technical capabilities, and processes for new product definition and introduction, focusing on technical product selection, schematic/layout capture, PCB layouts, fabrication processes, board bring up, and validation. Upon successful completion of the Field Applications Engineer track, participants become FAEs on TI's Worldwide Sales & Applications team. FAE responsibilities include using sales tools and design engineering relationships to identify potential projects, providing proactive proposals for complete, system-level solutions that maximize TI content, and using broad technical expertise to influence customers' part selection processes while favorably positioning TI against competition. Texas Instruments will not sponsor job applicants for visas or work authorization for this position.
