  • Hands‑on background in installation, commissioning, or field service.
  • Familiarity with California AHJ and utility interconnection processes.
  • Experience supporting both residential installers and commercial EPCs.
  • Prior exposure to product feedback loops or cross‑functional technical roles.
  • NABCEP certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre‑sales technical guidance for residential and commercial projects, including system architecture and design, microinverter, battery, and energy management configuration, and design best practices for rooftops, multi‑family, and light‑commercial sites.
  • Partner with Sales to support strategic accounts, regional installers, and C&I opportunities where technical differentiation is critical.
  • Support proposal development through technical design review, feature clarification, and risk identification.
  • Support deployments across Residential and C&I Applications.
  • Troubleshoot complex system‑level issues involving single‑phase and three‑phase electrical systems, power quality, grounding, and isolation, communications and monitoring (Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, cellular, PLC), and battery energy storage systems and control behavior.
  • Provide on‑site or remote support for commissioning, system validation, and performance optimization.
  • Support residential and C&I energy storage applications, including backup power and resilience, self‑consumption and export control, and time‑of‑use optimization and demand reduction.
  • Assist customers with California‑specific grid and interconnection requirements, including NEC, UL9540A, UL 1741 SB, IEEE 1547‑2018, California Rule 21 and Utility requirements (PG&E, SCE, SDGE, and other utilities).
  • Serve as a regional resource on grid‑support functionality and system behavior in utility‑interactive environments.
  • Provide on-site support activities to guide installation partners to install and commission residential and C&I systems.
  • Work with installation partners to identify, design, install and commission Pilot sites before general product launch.
  • Act as the technical bridge between customers and internal Enphase teams, including Sales, Technical Support, Product Management, and Engineering.
