About The Position

The Technical Sales & Applications Program (TSAP) is NXP’s early-career development program for new college graduates pursuing customer-facing technical roles within NXP’s Global Sales organization, with a focus on driving success in the Industrial, IoT, and Automotive markets. Designed for candidates who combine a strong technical foundation with the competitiveness and drive to succeed, TSAP prepares participants for a long-term career as Field Application Engineers (FAEs) through a combination of structured learning and on-the-job experience. Upon completion, participants transition into a permanent FAE role within the Americas Sales organization, with placement based on business needs and candidate preferences. The FAE is our field specialist for critical technology functions – the experts! The FAE role is designed to provide the customer additional technical guidance on NXP solutions and when necessary – hands on technical support. The FAE role specializes in a critical technology category such as Microcontrollers, Applications Processors, Wireless, Security, or Security. The FAE team will develop a tight relationship with the business line for their critical technology focal areas as a means of extra technical guidance and support. FAEs aid the field team in the identification of new projects at their customers and work with the TSEs to propose a value based technical solution to their customer’s needs.
